Mealtimes in France are an occassion and a picnic is a great way to make lunch just that!.
Your picnic will come with picnic bag/basket, rug, ice packs, all the necessary plates, cuttlery & glasses to enable you to picnic in style!

Table d'hôtes literally means "the hosts" table. And you will be very welcome at ours! Simon is the chef and having worked in gastro pubs and prestigious wedding venues in the North East of England, you are assured of a restaurant quality meal in a rustic, candle lit barn setting.
In typical French style, this is a four course set menu making the best use of regional and local produce. Served on at least one evening of your stay with a different menu each time.

It's a casual, sociable affair - the two key ingredients being good food and good company - with everyone contributing to the latter!

This area of France is famous for its beef, our closest neighbours are Charolais and Limousin cows in surrounding fields.
With an organic producer nearby, the best steaks, sausages and burgers for your barbecue are available to order.
Taking another local delicacy, try the delicious house green lentil burger with vegetable kebabs. This burger may be vegan option but it's very meaty!
If you want to cook but don't want to shop, there's a range of campfire cooking recipe cards for you to select from and we'll deliver the ingredients to you this way you can just enjoy the experience of cooking together in the great outdoors and not have to move a mussle!
So, channel your inner Julia Child or Raymond Blanc and try a boeuf borguinon, a coq au vin or the summer vegetable stew classic, ratatouille, in your traditional dutch oven!

Crevant, a village 6 minutes away by car, has a boulangerie, small general store and a butcher's shop.
Aigurande, the nearest town has a Spar & Intermarché supermarket, boulengeries, butchers, pharmacy and a range of other shops. On Friday mornings there is a busy vibrant market with local producers and all sorts of stalls.
La Chatre, a bigger, medieval town, with a range of larger supermarkets and shops and a large fabulous market on Saturday mornings.
Agenton-Sur Creuse, a coulourful, bustling town town with lots of very mouchable shops, including brocantes and boutiques and markets on Sunday and Wednesday mornings
Saint-Août - large market every Tuesday morning
Chateauroux, the capital of Indre and Gueret, within Creuse, are the nearest cities
